- Last week saw Miss Devlin leave the school after 10 weeks in P7 in her final teaching placement. The children were taking part in a 'StarBooks' Reading Challenge;
- Gaa Friday concluded today with a hurling/camogie session with new coach Colum Dillon. Colum hails from Lavey in Co Derry.
- Never mind the visit of the ETI inspectors in Kingsisland this week, the real highlight of the week, was the eagerly awaited big match between P1 v P2. This game had everything from raw passion to sheer determination.

- The Academy senior Ladies team who were crowned all Ireland champions yesterday. But a very special mention must go to our Star past pupil Orlagh Gavin who put in a dazzling display to win player of the match in the final.
- The P1 girls and boys took learning outside the classroom today and worked together to plant a variety of flowers for their P1 Flower Shop.
- Primary 6 had an action packed day with Emma from the Amma centre today. As part of our WAU topic, we have been learning all about Titanic and completing various pieces of artwork.
- The children of Kingsisland treated our audience to a fantastic array of traditional Irish performances today. Every single one of our 186 children
- Well done to our boys football team who competed in the Tyrone Cuman na mBunscol All County GAA indoor finals today in MUSA Cookstown. The boys won their first 3 group games against Cabragh PS, Fintona PS and Drumduff PS.

- Primary 6 headed to Titanic Belfast this morning as part of our WAU topic. First up was Ships of Dreams, a Guided Tour discussing why Titanic was designed, how it was built and fitted out,
