- The boys and girls have been very busy weeding and preparing the tyres for bulb planting. They also emailed Jill from the Mid-Ulster Council to arrange a visit to our school to talk to all the children about recycling.
- Our brand new new chairs, for the school hall arrived today.The older pupils helped unpack, organise and put them out for our official Blessing ceremony in the morning.
- Chess Club. It was great to welcome, Jelmar back to Kingsisland this morning. Jelmar had over 30 children joining in his early morning chess club. The club just keeps going from strength to strength.
- The children of Kingsisland had a wonderful surprise this morning as they arrived back after the Halloween break
- Halloween was a busy time in Kingsisland as we had new playground markings installed in both front and back yards.
- We celebrated Halloween today with a whole school dance show followed by an Ugly Bug Ball.
- P6 also put on their Science Hats this week and concocted some Halloween Brews of their own. We looked at how we could mix an Acid and an Alkaline substance to form Carbon Dioxide, causing the mixture to bubble and spill.
- Our Literacy lesson on Julia Donaldson's "Room on the Broom" certainly came alive today in Primary One when Winnie the Witch appeared in our classroom to visit us!!
- We had our annual sponsored walk today. The children walked different distances to suit the different age groups around our local area.
- Primary 3 loved learning all about hurricanes today after Ireland's visit from hurricane Ophelia! They carried out an experiment to find out how hurricanes begin and how fast they travel.
- Primary 6 seized the opportunity to showcase their wonderful reading habits by participating in a Reading Partnership Programme with Primary 1.
