Primary 6 made the short journey to Lough Neagh Discovery Centre this morning for an action packed day of creative learning through the AmmA Creative Learning Centre programme.
The children started their day with a short nature walk facilitated by Rosemary and Chris who told the children all about the nature and biodiversity in Lough Neagh which sparked their imagination before they learnt how science and art can be used to etch designs on metal plates. After they etched their designs, the children used their plates to create paper prints.
The children had such a wonderful time taking their learning outside the classroom. A massive thank you to artists Mary Murphy and Ann Darragh who facilitated the session today and to Lough Neagh Discovery Centre for such a warm welcome.
