When Master Lyons asked the children for help protecting our
Kingsisland vegetable garden over the summer, we knew the Primary 2’s would be up for the job under the expert wing of Miss McGrath!
The children created their own scarecrow, complete with Kingsisland uniform. We then pooled all of our name suggestions together to choose from a hat and, to our surprise, two names stuck together! Caleb’s name, Buttercup, and Iollann’s name, Mrs Scarecrow. We combined the two to call her Mrs Buttercup Scarecrow.
Master Lyons also helped the P2 class to harvest their own vegetables to take home for some delicious summer lunches and dinners.
