As part of our World Around Us topic, The Harvest, Primary 2 pupils were learning all about the Harvest Moon that lights up the sky once every year.
We read the story Hello, Harvest Moon by Ralph Fletcher and viewed some beautiful shots taken by photographers during previous Harvest Moons. We learned how farmers relied on its bright glow to continue harvesting crops in their fields late into the night to prepare for Winter. We then made our own Harvest Moon collages complete with tree silhouettes and lots of sparkles. We hope the weather permits a lovely view of the moon for the P2 boys and girls this evening!
