After winning the Coalisland and Clonoe girls' indoor football heat, our girls headed to MUSA today to compete in the County finals with the 9 other section winners from all over Tyrone.
The girls competed fantastically well in what proved to be the tougher of the two groups. Unfortunately they came up just short by the narrowest of margins in their group, despite giving their all. It was no coincidence that the top two teams in the group made it through to the final.
Staying for after school football coaching every Tuesday afternoon over the past two years has ensured these young ladies have made unbelievable progress. They deserve the highest praise for the way they have improved. Reaching the county finals with the top 9 teams out of 72 schools in Tyrone is no mean feat!
