This week, Primary 6 welcomed Stephanie from Time Steps Living History as she delivered a workshop about the Titanic. This was a great opportunity that combined both history and science for our pupils.
The class time-travelled all the way back to 1912 to learn about what life was like during that time, where Stephanie spoke about Home Rule and the Suffragettes. This was a great insight into how times are so different compared to the present day.
Primary Six then got their Science thinking caps on with a group work experiment. Each group had to construct a boat, with the winning group being the one whose boat could float whilst holding the most amount of marbles. It was a great opportunity for the class to be creative and work as part of a team. A great start to our new topic, the Titanic!
