Congratulations to Master Lyons' victorious Kingsisland hurling team who won the Naomh Colum Cille primary schools hurling blitz this morning at Páirc Chlochóg.
After a series of fiercely competitive round robin games, the Kingsisland 2 team met Primate Dixon in the semi-final. In an extremely competitive match the Kingsisland boys just pipped the Coalisland lads at the final whistle. In the tournament final, the boys came up against a very skilful and determined St Patrick's Annaghmore team. The hurling skills on display were a joy to watch as the game ebbed and flowed in each team's favour. In the second half of a pulsating game, Master Lyons' boys racked over the last few scores of a brilliant match, to claim victory.
