Today Primary 4/5 and Primary 6 battled it out for bragging rights on the GAA pitch! Two great games were keenly contested between the boys and girls down at Derrytresk.
After a pretty close first half, the P4/5 boys used their numerical advantage and the breeze at their backs to build up an unassailable lead down the home stretch, despite some heroic defending from the Primary 6 boys.
In the girls match, P6 girls displayed some fine teamwork to lead the P4/5 girls as the game approached the final quarter. Two late frees helped tie the game up for a richly deserved draw.
With both games played in great spirit and determination, football was the real winner. We all can't wait for Term 3 for some interschools games and the chance to shine in the red and black of Kingsisland. Thanks to Derrytresk for the use of their fantastic facilities.
