DERRYTRESK GAA WINNERS 2025

3 IN A ROW CHAMPIONS! Big congratulations to our Primary 6 & 7 football team who won the Doire Treasc Fir an Chnoic Primary Schools' Cup today, amazingly for the 3rd year in a row! 6 local schools competed for the Cup: Edendork PS, Primate Dixon PS, Brocagh PS, Gaelscoil PS, Annaghmore PS and Kingsisland PS. Each team played each other in 5 rounds of 10-minute games, with the top 2 teams qualifying for the Winners Cup Final. After some fantastic football, the Kingsisland team, who had remained undefeated, topped the group closely followed by Edendork PS. In the Cup final, in front of a packed crowd of adults and fellow students, Edendork and Kingsisland served up a real classic. With the match evenly poised at 1-1 to 0-2 in favour of Kingsisland at half time, the game was on a knife edge. In the second half, outstanding scores from the Kingsisland lads and Jonathan Blair in particular ensured that the Kingsisland team edged to victory on a scoreline of 2-9 to 1-2.
