Many thanks to St Patrick's PS Mullinnahoe for inviting Kingsisland to their annual primary school tournament today in Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa GAC.
The girls team put on some excellent displays and every girl got plenty of game time. In the boys competition the team competed with real vigour in their group games, defeating Ardboe and Derrychrin, and made it through to the semi-finals. In an end-to-end game of all-out attack, the boys lost out by a kick of the ball, 4-4 to 3-4, to the eventual winners, host school Ardboe.
With a further dozen scheduled blitzes and challenge games between now and the end of term, this was a great run-out for the children.
