  • Our camogie team took part in the finals today at The Station Centre Omagh. Although they did not make it to the knockout rounds they were commended by the organisers and referees for their performances on the day.
  • Fireman Gerard came to visit Foundation Stage today as part of our learning on People Who Help Us! The children were so excited to ask Gerard an array of questions, as well as inspect the firefighter clothing. Thank you Gerard
  • Our P6/7 girls and boys had a very sporting and competitive game against StOliver Plunketts-Ballyhegan this morning down in Derrytresk. There was plenty of game time for everyone and there was some excellent displays of football on the two pitches.
  • Today Primary 5 were excited and delighted to visit Mallaghans GSE as part of their Electricity topic. We were treated to an amazing presentation and tour around this wonderful facility, and Laura and Larissa ensured no question was left unanswered!
  • The children took part in a beautiful Prayer Service this morning in St Colmcille's Church Kingsisland to celebrate the beginning of Lent.
  • After filling our bellies this morning, P1 had lots of energy to burn off with Coach Liam in our First Football session! We were so excited to meet Coach Liam and learn some new football skills on the 3G pitch!
  • The whole school enjoyed pancakes today. We made lots of lovely pancakes and had some delicious toppings.
  • Primary 4 are ready to ‘take off’ after creating their space ships under the expert guidance of Mrs Lowe, linking in with our World Around Us topic of ‘Space’
  • Primary 1 had a very special visitor today thanks to our St Mary’s student, Miss O’Hanlon. As part of our World Around Us topic, ’On the Farm,’ Miss O’Hanlon arranged for her granda Kevin to come in and talk to the children about being a farmer.
  • We were delighted to be invited to ‘The Greatest Show’ yesterday, along with other local schools.
  • Some of our girls GAA team headed up to Clonoe to take part in their Cuman na mBunscol indoor heat. Despite being drawn in the toughest of groups, the girls only lost by a single goal in both of their games.
